Local riflery teams shot down in CIC action

Both Chugiak and Eagle River’s riflery teams were shutout 7-0 in Cook Inlet Conference action Friday, Nov. 2.

Cole Criswell and Dyson Hislop each fired 278 to lead the Mustangs, who lost to Dimond. Sullivan Galley and Kyle Bringhurst each shot a 276, and Garrett Johnson fired a 275 for Chugiak.

Though Dimond’s A team won easily, the other classes were closely contested. Dimond’s B team won by just five points and its C team edged Chugiak by two.

Brenden Lyon led Eagle River with a 280 in its loss to South. Tristian Henderson fired a 278 and Cat Papasodora shot a 277 for the Wolves.

Like its crosstown rival, Eagle River had a close match despite being shutout. The A classes were separated by 11 points; the B by 46; and the C by 15.
