Salmon Spread

This is a favorite recipe of Sharon Womac, which she found in a cookbook compiled by the Homer Homemakers sometime in the 1970s. The recipe was credited to Homer’s Carolyn Turkington.


2 cups drained salmon

8 ounces cream cheese

1 teaspoon horseradish

1 tablespoon grated onion

¼ teaspoon liquid smoke

½ cup chopped pecans

2 tablespoons lemon juice


Mix together and chill. Form into a ball or log. Cover with parsley and/or more nuts.
