Fire Fighter motorcycle stolen in Chugiak

A limited-edition Harley Davidson motorcycle designed for members of law-enforcement was among the items reported stolen from a residence on Homestead Road in Chugiak on July 26, Anchorage police said.

The homeowner told police that the 2003 Harley Davidson Fire Fighter Special Edition, as well as firearms and other items, were stolen during a 10-day period, police spokeswoman Dani Myren said. The front door of the home was forced open, Myren said. An investigation continues.

In an unrelated burglary on July 30, a Chugiak resident told police someone entered their Old Glenn Highway home through an open window and stole items including a gaming unit, electronics, clothing, groceries – and a suitcase to carry it all out, Myren said. The items were valued at more than $2,700.
