Anchorage Police are seeking help from the public in locating an Eagle River man who was last seen by neighbors near his Hiland Road home about two weeks ago.

A concerned neighbor called APD on Saturday, Nov. 16 and reported that Stephen Gingrich, 58, “had not been seen or heard from in approximately two weeks,” according to a press release.

Police could not locate Gingrich at his home and “further attempts to determine his whereabouts have been unsuccessful,” APD said.

Neighbors say this is uncharacteristic of Gingrich, APD said, and that “he may be mentally vulnerable.”

“Police have not discovered any signs of foul play,” APD said.

Police described Gingrich as a 58-year-old white male, approximately 6-feet tall and 175 pounds with long, sandy colored hair.

Anyone with information on the location of Gingrich can contact APD at 786-8900.
