Police need help to find missing airman

Anchorage Police are asking the public to help locate a 22-year-old Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson airman.

Tanner Volkers was reported missing Sunday, Dec. 8, according to a press release. He was last seen at his East Anchorage residence the evening of Saturday, Dec. 7, APD said, and that he had taken some of his belongings and left on his own.

APD said it hasn’t discovered anything suspicious surround his disappearance, however, Volkers has health concerns.

APD said Volkers likes to recreate at Flattop, Arctic Valley, Thunderbird Falls and the Eagle River Nature Center.

APD described Volkers a white male, 5-foot-10, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He drives a black 2011 Dodge truck.

APD is asking anyone with information on Volkers’ whereabouts to call 786-8900.
