 r a 6.5-mile round trip hike on the Prospect trails\, starting from the Pr
 ospect Heights trailhead in Anchorage. The hike involves a 900-foot elevat
 ion gain over the course of the hike. Bring a daypack with snacks\, water\
 , wind/snow clothing\; snowshoes and/or ice cleats may be needed. The hike
  is limited to the first 12 people (at least 18 years old) who register by
  calling 694-2108. Hikers may be beginners\, but should be in good shape. 
 Free program. <i>There is $5 parking fee at Prospect Heights trailhead (AK
