UPDATE (Dec. 4, 2017): According to the Anchorage Police Department, Brandy Nolcini was arrested Oct. 30 by officers checking up on a suspicious vehicle parked on Gander Street off Lake Otis Boulevard in South Anchorage.
APD spokeswoman Renee Oistad said in an email that a man contacted police the morning of Oct. 30 to report his truck had been stolen overnight from a location on West 79th Avenue. At around 1:30 p.m. that same day, police dispatchers got a call about a suspicious Dodge pick-up parked on the 11600 block of Gander Street. Officers found the vehicle running with a woman “passed out” in the driver’s seat.
“The woman was taken into custody without incident but she refused to give her name,” Oistad wrote. “Through fingerprints she was identified as 24-year-old Brandy Nolcini.”
In addition to three outstanding warrants, Nolcini was additionally charged with another count of vehicle theft. A records check Monday, Dec. 4 showed Nolcini was being held at Hiland Mountain Correctional Center, but had a bail hearing at 1 p.m. that day.
