Chugiak Elementary third-grader Claire Schimmack gives it her all during the two-foot high kick at the Alaska Native Youth Olympics Saturday at Begich Middle School. Elementary students from schools across the Anchorage School District competed in the three-day event, which teaches athletic skills traditionally valuable for subsistence living.
