Vehicle strikes pedestrian A 17-year-old female from Eagle River was struck by a vehicle while crossing the Old Glenn Highway March 6 at 10:11 p.m. According to Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Marlene Lammers, the teenager mistakenly thought she had right the of way to cross the street, stepped out into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle being driven northbound on the Old Glenn Highway at Eagle River Loop by Louise Gatling, 40, of Eagle River. Lammers said the teenager was inspected for injures by medics before being released to her mother. The driver was not cited.

Bumper cars Eagle River resident Kyler Quinn, 22, was injured in a three-car collision on the Old Glenn Highway March 7 at 5:58 p.m. Otis Fruster Jr., 49, of Eagle River was driving his GMC Safari east out of the Carrs parking lot, across the Old Gelnn Highway and toward Coronado Street when he was struck by Quinn's Honda Civic, which then collided with a third vehicle being driven by an unidentified driver, said Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Marlene Lammers. Quinn sustained injuries to his right hand, left shin and neck. Fruster was sited with failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

Close call Laura Locke of Chugiak was uninjured when her Ford F-250 SuperCab flipped over on the Glenn Highway March 10 at 3:41 p.m. According to Marlene Lammers, an Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman, Locke was driving northbound on the Glenn Highway approaching the south Eagle River exit when she observed a puddle in the road, slowed down, lost control, flipped and landed in the median. No citations were issued.

Driving under the influence Brian Pawlowfki, 28, of Anchorage was charged with driving under the influence March 8 at 3:22 a.m. at Centerfield Drive and the Old Glenn Highway in Eagle River.

Brenda Wise, 44 of Anchorage was charged with driving under the influence March 8 at 9:03 p.m. while traveling inbound on the Glenn Highway at the weigh station. Her bail was set at $15,000, plus a third party custodian.

Bonnie Henry, 24, of Wasilla was charged with driving under the influence March 9 at 5:13 a.m. on the 15000 block of Eagle River Loop.
