A veteran and winner of races 50 miles and longer, Hone completed the 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) race in 17 minutes, 40.1 seconds, placing 13th overall.

Eagle River’s recent heart transplant recipient Shawn Stockwell, who wore bib No. 1, walked the course with his father George Stockwell.
