Time for 'Super Suppers'
Super Suppers, a meal assembly preparation business, is slated to open in early September in Eagle River, say owners Tammy and Tony Gongliewski.
Gongliewski said the business, at 11925 Old Glenn Highway between the Game Xchange and Giant Don's, will offer one- or two-hour food preparation sessions for preparing six to 12 meals at one time, which can be taken home and frozen for nights when there isn't time to cook from scratch. Pre-ordered, pre-assembled meals can also be purchased from Super Supper's grab-and-go freezer.
Food choices vary by month. The cost is per session is $126 for 6 meals $240 for 12 meals. Meals are designed to serve four to six people.

New 'Vibe' in Eagle River
Vibe Styling Salon & Day Spa Inc will open in early September, says co-owner Denise Petrie.
Petrie said the 2,900-square foot salon and spa will be located at 16433 Artillery Road next to Eagle River Grooming and Pet Supply. It is co-owned by Annelle Simton.
Haircuts, color, extensions and other hair styling services will be offered as well as nail services and facials. Petrie said she hopes to also offer massage therapy and is actively looking for a permanent makeup artist to perform permanent cosmetic tattooing.
Once work on the salon is complete, Vibe Styling Salon & Day Spa Inc. will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call 696-VIBE.
Joan's hair expansion
Joan Weinburger, owner of Joan's Hair & Retail Salon, said she will expand her business located at 12212 Old Glenn Highway above Greatland Christian Cache in mid-October.
Weinburger said incorporating the space of an additional suite will more than double her salon space bringing the total to 900 square feet. She plans to add three stations and said booth rentals are available.

Practitioner to open new practice
Pediatric nurse practitioner Cynthia Ebelacker said she is opening a new practice soon in Chugiak-Eagle River. Ebelacker said the location has not been determined, but patients can reach her in the interim at 268-1135.
