Lance Mackey to speak Saturday night

The Chugiak Dog Mushers Association will present An Evening with Lance Mackey Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 11901 Business Boulevard above Garcia's Cantina and Cafˇ. Mackey is the only musher to win the Yukon Quest and the Iditarod back-to-back, which he did earlier this year.
He will talk about his 2007 race season, his kennel line, how and what he feeds his dogs and his training schedule, and he will present a slideshow. After his presentation, he will take questions from the audience and sign autographs.
The club is asking for a donation of $5 per person to support Mackey's kennel and upcoming racing season, because he offered to speak for free.
