Troopers search for Eagle River woman last seen June 3 in Fairbanks
Alaska State Troopers are looking for a 39-year-old Eagle River woman reported missing in Interior Alaska.
According to an online dispatch, troopers received a welfare check for Shanna Oman on June 9 from someone who said she left their residence off McGrath Road in Fairbanks at around 12:30 a.m. on June 3.
“The complainant was supposed to give her a ride back to Eagle River;” troopers wrote.
“He assumed she made other arrangements until her roommate called stating she had not returned home.”
On June 12, troopers said they received information Oman had been at a cabin near Mile 23 Chena Hot Springs Road. Troopers said they were able to confirm Oman had been at the cabin but walked away on June 4. Troopers said the cabin owners allowed them to search the property bordering the Chena River, but found no sign of Oman.
Troopers said Oman was carrying a cell phone, which last pinged near the area of Mile 17 Chena Hot Springs Road on June 4.
The search for Oman is ongoing. She is a white female with strawberry blonde hair who stands 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Troopers in Fairbanks at (907) 451-5100 and reference incident AK19037617.
