Three people were rescued after a plane apparently crashed near the Knik Glacier on Thursday.
According to the Alaska State Troopers, an emergency signal was received at around 12:30 p.m. from a pilot who reported “a downed plane” near the glacier. The Alaska Rescue Coordination Center responded and transported two of the three passengers to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, while another passenger was picked up by a Good Samaritan and taken to the Birchwood Airport in Chugiak.
