Student doesn't want music cut

My name is Charley Pappas, and I am a sophomore at Chugiak High School. I am very active with school activities, and am in the symphonic band. It was brought to my attention that with the coming of the new superintendent for the school district, the music program may be put on the list of budget cuts. Carol Comeau made sure that the music programs would be upheld, because she believed that it was an important piece of children’s education. The new superintendent may consider cutting 6th grade music. If they were to do this, it would make the entire school music community suffer, and rob many kids the chance to learn a wonderful skill. It would upset many people, as well as me, if they cut music at this level.
