Mustangs, Wolves go winless on the week

Every Dimond player scored at least six points as the first-place Lynx rolled to a 77-38 win over Chugiak on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at Dimond.

Alistie Aguilar led Chugiak with 13 points, including a 7-for-9 performance from the free throw line. Jessi McMullen added six points and 10 rebounds for Chugiak, which fell to 5-5 in the CIC. Chugiak will face Eagle River tonight at 6 p.m. at Chugiak.


East 64, Eagle River 30

Togafiti Manu scored a game-high 22 points to lead the T-Birds to a 64-30 win Tuesday, Feb. 14 at Eagle River.

Lauren Frost and Sam Coy each scored 10 points for the Wolves, who also got eight from Danielle Crow and two from Mikayla Douglas.

Eagle River dropped to 0-10 in the CIC with the loss.


Service 36, Chugiak 34

Service held Chugiak to just four second-half field goals to take a 36-34 decision on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Service.

Chugiak used a 16-1 first-half run to take control early, leading 20-13 at the break. But the Cougars went 10-of-18 from the free throw line in the fourth to seal the Cook Inlet Conference win.

Jessica Tramp led all scorers with 13 points for Chugiak, which also got nine from Aguilar and five from Brandi Bookout.


South 56, Eagle River 28

South rolled to a 56-28 conference win over Eagle River on Feb. 10 at South.

Coy paced the Wolves with 11 points. Crow added nine.


ACS 56, Chugiak 41

Class 3A Anchorage Christian got scoring from eight different players in a 56-41 nonconference win on Thursday, Feb. 9 at ACS.

Jessica Tramp led Chugiak with 12 points.
