Rivals will settle things another day

The game between Chugiak Post 33 and Eagle River American Legion set for Tuesday, June 12 at Oberg Field was postponed due to rain. A makeup date was not set as of Tuesday night.


Chugiak (4-3 overall) is in action today (Thursday, June 14) when it hosts Wasilla at 6:30 p.m. at Oberg Field. Chugiak then hosts a doubleheader with Kenai Post 20 on Sunday, June 17 at 12:30 p.m.


Eagle River (4-2 overall) will play its first home game of the Legion season Saturday, June 16 against South Post 4 at 12:30 p.m. at Loretta French Park. Eagle River takes on West Post 1 the following day at 1 p.m. at Loretta French.


Eagle River 13, East 5

Greg Long got the win for Eagle River as they cruised 13-5 over East Post 34 on Monday, June 11 at Kosinski No. 4. Youngster Cameron Fabacher pitched 3 1/3 innings to earn the save for Eagle River.


Wasilla 12, Eagle River 2

Wasilla handed visiting Eagle River a 12-2 loss Sunday, June 10.


Twins sweep Chugiak

Kenai Post 20 swept Chugiak in a doubleheader Sunday, June 10 at Coral Seymour Memorial Park. The Twins won the first game 6-3 and took the second game 17-7.


Chugiak 13, East 4

Chugiak racked up seven runs in the second inning en route to a 13-4 win over East on Friday, June 8 at Oberg Field.

Justin Schneider went 4-for-5 with 2 RBIs and Cameron Fritz drove in four runs for Chugiak.


Bartlett 16, Chugiak 12

Bartlett Post 29 handed Chugiak its first loss of the season, 16-12, on Thursday, June 7 at Oberg Field.


Service 8, Eagle River 4

Service Post 28 gave Eagle River its first loss of the season by an 8-4 margin on Thursday, June 7 at Chad Bax Field. Chris Parker hit an RBI triple for Eagle River.
